Excitement abounds! (As per usual)

Eve here, with an early afternoon WOOP for you.

Today's outburst comes in the form of a trip to the cinema. Tonight we're off to see
'How to Train Your Dragon'.

Sadly, only in 2D, but no doubt it'll still be ace. With 97% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it's looking like we're gonna have a gay ol' time. I certainly will ;) Here's the trailer, if you haven't already seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUhygdAZIw

It's the story of a young Viking called 'Hiccup', who wants to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors to become a Dragon Slayer. However, upon catching his first dragon he does not kill it, but instead befriends it... and so the tale of striving for acceptance whilst going against the grain begins... Featuring voices from:
  • Gerard Butler ("This is madness! This... is... SPARTA!")
  • America Ferrera (The delightful Ugly Betty)
  • Jay Baruchel (The one that grows the beard in Knocked Up)
  • Jonah Hill (The non-Michael Cera one from Superbad)
  • and most importantly, the magnificent Kristen Wiig *smitten sigh* (Saturday Night Live, Whip It, Knocked Up, Adventureland and various other pieces of comic genius)
Coming from Dreamworks studios, who brought us the Shrek and Madagascar series', as well as Kung Fu Panda and loads of other great films, Dragon looks set to be pretty darn cool.

Also, it has Vikings! And as we know from previous
Dreamworks experiences, it should be packed with plenty of jokes for the older members of the audience that pass right over the heads of the kiddies laughing at people falling over.

As you will very soon learn (if you haven't already), the child in me is not buried very deep beneath the surface, so it's highly likely I'll come out of the cinema saying "Rawr!" an awful lot and pretending to ride a dragon home :)

Have a wonderous day one and all!

To straighten up....

Amy here, blogging it up now in attempts to avoid presentation writing.
To begin with, in what I hope will become a tradition on mine and Eve's super cool blog, I will state the people I am in love with today.

Firstly I am in love with David Henrie today, as I am most days. Mostly when I'm home from uni when I can sit and watch Disney all day and wait for Wizards of Waverly Place to be on so I get to see him and his yummy arms. But to go a little more generalised, today I love the Disney Teen Scene or DTS as it is known (me and eve love our acronyms and will create them for everything). I am getting totally wrapped up in all the bitchy-ness that goes on in this little clique of people and the swapping and changing of bfs/gfs has the potential to rival any american teen drama show you can come up with. With Miley having dated Nick Jonas who is now potentially dating Selena Gomez (yay!) who's bff/ex bff Demi Lovato is dating Joe Jonas, but she previously dated Trace Cyrus, Miley's older half brother. To move away from Disney for the moment, Selena also previously dated Taylor Lautner, who also dated Taylor Swift creating Taylor Squared and Taylor Swift is now Selena's bff! Hard to keep up with I know!!!

I'm going to move away from Eve's excitment for Whip it, although I'm totally excited as well but not for the same reasons as Eve *ahem* Ellen Page *ahem* I am super duper excited to see Remember Me as soon as it comes out. Not gonna lie, R-Pattz, big part of it. But not just that, I think the storyline is amazing. And yes I'm a big cheat and read the script so yes I'm excited to see the big twist at the end too.

I'm am now leaving to write my presentation whilst listening to my recently added playlist which at the moment consists of The Runaways, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, Twilight saga: New Moon Score, Mumford and Sons, Almost Alice and The Wizards of Waverly Place soundtrack! Try and get more diversity than that in a playlist my friends :D

Loveage! xx

First blog!

Eve here, stealing our blog virginity from under Amy's nose.
Well, here it is, the first of many... I hope.
Today's random thoughts consist largely of Runaways-related ramblings and spazzish excitement.

So we STILL don't have a UK
release date for The Runaways and Amy and I are most pissed about this. We need, need, NEED to see this film! Reading the script over and over just isn't enough. And I personally feel an overwhelming need to see THAT scene. Yes, I know she's only 16, but hey, she's legal. And as Cherie? Ooft!
I mean... seriously.

This brings me swiftly onto what I hope will become a regular feature, called
"Today I am in love with..."

As you may have already guessed, today
I am in love with Dakota Fanning.
But it's okay, because it breaks neither the '3 years younger' rule, or the 'half your age plus 7' rule. Just... Anyway, I don't care if you think it's creepy. I think she's amazing and kinda hot. Or very, as Cherie. I feel inspired, for the first time in m
y life, to don a basque and take to the stage.

Also causing me rather too much excitement at the moment is the UK release of Whip It! on the 7th of April.

I may have accidentally downloaded it and watched it 20 times, but there is no way I am passing up the opportunity to see that magic on a big screen. I mean, Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore AND Kristen Wiig all in one place... on rollerskates?! I am THERE. I love love love this movie, it's really fun and cracked me up. Kristen especially. If you don't laugh at the "ever had crabs?" part, you're broken and hollow inside. Just sayin'...

What else is there to say? I enjoyed that ramble. I may even come back for more. When a random thought pops into my head, expect it to appear on here.

Rock on. Pussy to the wood, y'all ;)
